Student Artwork

One of the more conflicting emotions that I encounter as an instructor occurs when grading students exams and seeing artwork.  Part of me is frustrated that they spent so much time on their art and not on the mathematics, physics, or engineering, because as is always the case, I want you all to do your best.  However, mixed with the frustration is always some level of levity as most of the put a smile on my face.

This gallery exists because I thought it would be fun to share the smiles!  Although I must put out a caveat, please for the love of all things holy, don’t let this be an excuse for you to do this on your exam.  View these as what NOT to do, not what TO do.  I say that because, any time spent drawing and not working on the problems will be energy not focused on getting the highest grade possible and I want you all to succeed!  That being said, I have giggled a lot of the past decade and thought it worth sharing.
