Throughout my undergraduate experience, I attempted to sprinkle in non engineering courses to provide a bit of fun in having an “easy” class. Please don’t take this as a belief that engineering is not fun, because of course it is. However, it’s nice to stretch your legs a bit in other non STEM related disciplines. It ended up being that I took enough credits to get a minor.
When I got into graduate school I seriously debated getting a Masters in Philosophy. I thought it would be fun to teach introduction courses on ethics, logic, and political philosophy. However, that never really panned out and instead I find myself have discussions with my students in office hours here and there. This prompted me to include this section on my instructor page. Over the semesters I will continually add small excerpts of thought.
