Exam Preparation

Now first off, OBVIOUSLY Sheldon is not trying to be mean, he just can’t help it. And luckily, I am here so hopefully this does NOT happen. Unfortunately I do not have the time to meet up outside of class and work with you on an individual / group basis. So with respect to general preparation, you are definitely on your own outside the website, and content provided.

In the past I would schedule review days (on non class days) but what I found would happen is that for a class of 100, 10 people would show up. Too many issues with conflicts in schedules and the majority of the people who came were A/B students and were most likely going to do just fine on the exam. Now I am still open to doing this, but I usually wait until the final exam when the gravity of the situation dictates it more so.

What I will do is the class period before the exam, I will go over the Exam Review that is located at ASU’s Main Course Page for your specific course your taking. The reviews usually cannot be completed in one class period and as such I look to the class to pick which ones for a given section they want to see worked out. So I encourage you to go through the review, find out which ones trouble you and come prepared for a fast paced (as this is review and not new concepts) run through of as many problems as we can get done within the allotted time period.

I do reserve the right that if the numbers are SUPER weird or the problem type is obscure relative to our standard problem types for the exams, I may pass it despite it being suggested by a student. This is only done with the goal of what is in the best interest of the entire class with respect to the upcoming exam.
