My Arrival and Exit Time

I tend to choose morning classes as I like to get home from ASU preferably before noon. I also think it keeps me honest in that while many of my friends are out late during the week, it forces me to go home and walk the dog and get a good nights rest at 9pm like a good old man should. Let’s be honest, I am headed to my late 40’s and as Danny Glover says, …. “I’m getting too old for this sh*t”.

Therefore, I try to show up to class the second the doors unlock which is around 30 minutes before class. It gives me time to setup everything, and 15 minutes remaining to answer questions, work problems, or talk about the football games over the weekend.

I also try to ensure my classes are back to back and in the same room. This allows me to take full advantage of the time in between and work more problems for students. Lastly, I have no issue staying after class, to work problems, answer questions etc… however, we must be cognizant of the next instructor coming to the room. I will NOT make them wait on us. We have the capability of being considerate and exiting the room and finding a table to sit at. They need the tine to setup as well and they have an entire class of students depending on them to put forth a fantastic lecture for that day.
